BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow has migrated to digital mammography for the first time, following the installation of a MAMMOMAT Inspiration™ from Siemens Healthcare. The system replaces a previously installed analogue system at the hospital, enabling clinicians to rapidly view detailed high quality images at a low dose and assist with operator confidence. The ease-of-use of the MAMMOMAT Inspiration also enables clinicians to spend more time with patients, improving patient care in the process.

Hologic, Inc. today announced that Conceptus, Inc.'s (Conceptus) request for an injunction barring future sales of Hologic's Adiana permanent contraception (Adiana) system has been denied and that no royalty will be due to Conceptus on such sales.

Philips and the VU University Medical Center Amsterdam (the Netherlands) announced that they have signed an agreement to install one of Philips’ Ingenuity TF PET/MR (Time-of-Flight Positron Emission Tomography/Magnetic Resonance) scanners at the centre. This advanced imaging modality will help researchers at the VU University Medical Center Amsterdam to investigate new methods of diagnosing and treating cancer and neurological disorders.
